Thegames would have benefited way more as the servers are gonna go offline one day and all you'll be stuck with is the campaign anyway so might as well have given 2-player campaign. There are a lot of characters and ways to add a second player into the game. If games like Gears and Halo did it I'm sure these games all could have too.
